For those who love Japanese sake, cuisine, and culture, the Australian Sake Festival is coming back in grand style in Melbourne! This year’s theme is Sake Festival and Edo Digital Art Exhibition!

The Sake Festival will feature four main themes: Japanese sake, food, culture, and travel! Whether you are a sake enthusiast or interested in Japanese traditional culture, this event is going to be a lot of fun!

Sake Festival – Things you need to know

Renowned exhibitors such as Asahi Shuzo and Hakutsuru Sake Brewing will be participating! There will be an opportunity to taste over 200 different types of sake from Japan, free of charge!

You can also enjoy live presentations by sake breweries and brewers from Japan. In addition, there will be various delicious Japanese food to pair with sake. A range of sake-related products and selected Japanese-made goods will also be available for purchase and take home!

Edo Digital Art Exhibition

The exhibition focuses on the Edo period of Japan (1603-1867) and showcases ukiyo-e paintings, the lifestyle during the Edo period, and the history of that time. If you love this historical and cultural aspect of Japan, you shouldn’t miss it!

You can also enjoy traditional Japanese crafts, performances, and other Japanese specialties. There will be exciting live performances and workshops! It’s an opportunity to deeply experience Japanese sake and traditional culture as if you were in Japan!
