Transportation: Approximately a 5.5-hour drive from Sydney; Day parking available at Perisher Valley for free, but no overnight parking allowed; Recommended to park at the Bullocks Flat, the starting station of the Skitube, which offers free parking with plenty of spaces, including overnight parking, and take the Skitube to the mountain.

Accommodation: Option to stay in Jindabyne, a 30-minute drive from Perisher Valley, offering beautiful lake views and affordable hotel prices. Alternatively, staying within Perisher Valley itself will be more convenient but relatively more expensive.

Thredbo Ski Resort

Thredbo Ski Resort is a renowned ski destination in Australia. It offers over 60 slopes of varying difficulty levels, catering to beginners as well as advanced skiers. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, you’ll find suitable slopes at Thredbo.

Transportation: Approximately a 5.5-hour drive from Sydney, about a 10-minute drive from Perisher Valley with shuttle bus service between the two ski resorts. Note that direct vehicle access to the ski resort is not available in winter. You can park at the Bullocks Flat station of the Skitube (free overnight parking).

Accommodation: The closest option is Stillwell Hotel, or you can choose to stay in Jindabyne.

Selwyn Snowfields

A ski resort with beginner-friendly slopes and affordable prices. It has 10 lifts and is perfect for families and beginner skiers.

Transportation: Approximately a 5.5-hour drive from Sydney. This ski resort does not offer accommodation facilities or shuttle bus services. You can drive there on your own or choose accommodation in the surrounding area.
