Roselyn Crescent Reserve Boronia – Possibly Melbourne’s Longest Slide

Roselyn Crescent Reserve Boronia - Possibly Melbourne’s Longest Slide

Not sure if this counts as Melbourne’s oldest or longest-running slide, can’t say for certain, but it’s definitely in the running. Not many people around, mostly just locals from the area.

Roselyn Crescent Reserve, also known locally as the Big Slide, Boronia. There’s a mini playground right at the entrance, and that’s genuinely it, nothing else.

The Slide Itself

Kids who love a slide will probably get an hour or so of play out of this one. Some local parents bring along a blanket, because the slide has a lot of friction and you tend to stop halfway down otherwise.

A heads up from experience, the edges of the slide run a bit shallow, so keep an eye on younger kids while they’re going down.

This long slide genuinely rivals something you’d find at an adventure park.

Finding It

Important warning: the big slide is tucked in behind the playground, and it’s not easy to spot from where you park on the street. Trust that you’re in the right place, keep walking further in and you’ll find it.
