Gumbuya World – Melbourne Water Park

Gumbuya World - Melbourne Water Park

School holidays are here! Summer has arrived! For the little ones in Melbourne, you can bring your family and friends to Gumbuya World. It truly has everything you could imagine! One day is simply not enough to explore it all!

There’s a water world, playground, farm, zoo, and amusement park with different themed areas. It can truly consume all your energy! The entrance ticket for Gumbuya World is approximately $64.6 per person! However, when you go, please check the official website for the specific date and which attractions are open or closed.

The experience at Gumbuya World

Gumbuya World is approximately a 50-minute drive from the city. The entire park includes four themes: Water Park, Adventure Carnival, Little Explorers, and Wilderness Trail!

Taipan

This super-sized python slide enters a dark space from a height, resembling being swallowed by a python in various twists and turns.

Boomerango

This is my favourite and most thrilling attraction, accommodating up to four people. Ride in a kayak with friends, spin rapidly down nearly 180° turns on the slide, and experience an exhilarating feeling of weightlessness.

Typhoon Island

This is a water attraction suitable for kids, not as high or thrilling. The large water bucket on top tips over every few minutes after being filled with water, and kids love it!

Oz Adventure

Like other amusement parks, Adventure Carnival has many exciting rides that cater to children of all ages!

As a theme park, how could it not have classic attractions like a pirate ship, a rotating swing, and a giant swing? All of these are in the Adventure Carnival section. In addition to some thrilling rides, there’s also a small roller coaster that even younger kids can enjoy. All facilities are suitable for children, and even toddlers aged two or three can experience the fun! However, some rides in Adventure Carnival are more dangerous, with strict height restrictions – children under 120 cm cannot play!

Outback Explorers

Little ones can become little explorers at Outback Explorers! Outback Explorers is a playground designed specifically for younger children, with relatively safe rides. Safe and exciting pirate ships, retro and fun rocking car There are height requirements here too, but they are much lower than in other areas.

Wildlife Trail

This part is themed as a park zoo, featuring over 50 species of animals such as parrots, koalas, kangaroos, wombats, platypuses, emus, and Australian terriers! The unique feature here is that children can have close encounters with the animals, making it suitable for younger kids.

Additional Tips

In the park, they don’t allow outside food and drinks, only water and fruits are allowed. Families with children can bring a tent, as there are many snack shops inside, so you don’t have to worry about the kids getting hungry. You can also book a small cabin, which comes with relaxing lounge chairs, a refrigerator, a fan, and a safe. It’s worth considering if you have elderly family members or children.

Make sure to apply sunscreen, and bring a towel and slippers!
