EziStreat, a hidden gem of Japanese street food in Melbourne

Melbourne actually has a place like this! I thought we were in Japan! In North Melbourne, this Ezistreat is experimenting with some very new things. Although it’s essentially a collection of snack stalls, the overall decor captures a blend of Japanese and Melbourne styles.

Despite being somewhat off the beaten path, the place is always bustling with diners. It’s perfect for friend and family gatherings, and those who enjoy taking photos should give it a try!

If you’re like me, a street food enthusiast, or if you want to experience different cuisines all in one place, Ezistreat in North Melbourne is the perfect solution. It offers a variety of street food from around the world, including Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, American, Mexican, and more!

Inside the EziStreat

Inside, each stall operates independently, with prices averaging around $10-25. Apart from Japanese ramen, Korean tteokbokki, Taiwanese rice bowls, there are also some traditional tacos, fish and chip shops, and burger joints! The taste is quite good. if you are not sure what to eat, you can observe what others are ordering around you before making your decision.

Unfortunately, we went in the afternoon that day. We think the atmosphere would be great if we went at night!

It’s basically a food hall concept here. There are over 6-7 small shops in a small space. They have food from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Italy – you name it!

There’s coffee and alcohol too. It’s like a mini Grazeland!

That day, we mainly ordered Taiwanese cuisine from Jymmanuel. Their salt and pepper chicken and braised pork rice were really delicious!

This place is really great for going with a big group of friends or family. There’s no restriction on what cuisine you have to eat!
