Unique High Tea Experience in Sydney

We stumbled upon this High Tea last weekend while visiting a friend in Roseville. There were quite a few locals dining there that day. At $68 per person, it felt pretty reasonable. The flavours were genuinely impressive and the presentation was perfect for photos. We sat outdoors, slowly sipping afternoon tea while enjoying the breezeā€¦ so relaxing. We were here with a good friend to try out the new store of Ms. Right, featuring a Asia-style High Tea.

As soon as we entered, we were drawn in by the Chinese-inspired interior, beautifully designed decorative pieces that clearly show thought and care. One room was filled with Chinese fashion made with top-quality fabrics, you can even shop after your meal.

Back to the food itself, beneath the refined presentation, the ingredients tasted fresh and flavourful. The sauces were well balanced, not overpowering!

Besides the afternoon tea set, they also serve a private-style dinner menu, which seems well worth a try.

Hereā€™s what we had

  • Seafood dim sum ā€“ scallop dim sum with a hint of black pepper
  • Salad tart ā€“ this one’s not bad
  • Thai-style crab and shrimp spring roll ā€“ loved this one, super tasty
  • Handmade pork and shepherd’s purse wontons ā€“ delicious, with a tea tree mushroom broth that was super fresh
  • Da Hong Pao sorbet ā€“ shoutout to this sorbet. Topped with crushed fruit liquor ice and a layer of Da Hong Pao sorbet underneath!
  • Matcha dacquoise ā€“ tiny and cute
  • Yuzu tart ā€“ this one’s pretty good too
  1. Japanese dry-aged Wagyu short ribs ā€“ the Wagyu was tender and rich. Special mention to the roasted kale, super crispy and amazing with the sauce.

If you’re on the hunt for good food around Chatswood or Roseville, this place is definitely worth a weekend visit!
