When you don’t know what to do on weekends, why not go shopping at vintage stores? From antique furniture, jewellery, to quirky little items!

Those shops we often see on the streets selling old items can only be called “second-hand stores.” True antique shops are far more than just selling old things! When you are wandering through the streets and alleys, you may be searching for those antique shops in Sydney that truly sell the old times. The items in these antique shops each have their own stories, and their value becomes more profound as time goes by!

Mitchell Road Antique & Design Centre

This shop is the largest vintage store I’ve been to in Sydney! It’s so big that it feels like entering an IKEA, and you can easily spend an hour inside without being able to leave!

Despite its large size, everything is organised into different sections based on category and style. From second-hand clothes, jewellery, furniture, tableware, toys, figurines, clocks, books, and more, everything you can imagine and even things you can’t, it truly has it all. You can spend a lot of time in each section, like treasure hunting, discovering all sorts of interesting little items.

A very large antique warehouse, about a 7-minute walk from Mascot train station. With multiple individual stalls.

They have antique furniture from the Middle Ages, tableware, jewellery, bags, clothing, toys, large-scale decorations, collectibles, and some mechanical components.

The warehouse also has a small outdoor area stacked with old flower pots and green plants, making it a delightful place to explore.

Rozelle Collectors Markets

The Rozelle Collectors Market is one of Sydney’s most popular outdoor markets for second-hand goods, vintage items, and antiques.

For over 20 years, vendors have been selling their vintage items to an increasing number of tourists and locals in the yard of Rozelle Public School. Here, you can browse through a wide range of second-hand antiques, collectibles, fashion, jewelrey, art, and music while enjoying performances by local artists.

When you need a break, local art vendors and international food stalls offer a variety of delicious and affordable options, including Himalayan fare, fresh juices, gozleme, dim sum, and more!

Flea market open every Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm! It’s very down-to-earth! Many unexpected little trinkets can be found here! There are also many food stalls! It’s perfect for a weekend stroll!

Southern Antiques

A hidden gem of an antique store in the southern area! It has a wide range of categories, including clothing, toys, furniture, and even medieval helmets, autographed photos of actors, and all sorts of peculiar things! You can spend a very happy weekend here!

Dirty Janes Bowral

You might have heard about this antique shop before. It’s one of the must-visit spots in the town of Bowral.

One shop that you must visit when passing through the Blue Mountains is Hazelbrook Cottage Antiques. This shop has a fast turnover of inventory, and it’s perfect for coffee shop owners looking to find antique furniture for display.
