While there isn’t a Disneyland in Australia, a Disney-themed cruise is coming! The Disney Magic cruise ship “Magic at Sea” will set sail in Australia and New Zealand for the first time in 2023.

Specifically, from October 2023 to February 2024, the Disney Magic will offer 2-night, 3-night, 4-night, 5-night, and 6-night cruises from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland.

Magic at Sea

Departing from four home ports – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland – the “Magic at Sea” itinerary features themes from Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars.

The Sydney station will depart on October 28, 2023, and the last station will depart on February 12, 2024.

With voyages ranging from 2 to 6 nights, passengers will embark on a magical journey and immerse themselves in the world of Disney.

Disney characters can be found throughout the cabin, along with live music performances. Guests can also enjoy cuisine from around the world inspired by different Disney movies.

Musical performances include “Frozen”; another show will be selected from Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Cinderella, and Aladdin; and there will also be a Golden Mickeys-themed show. Every night, there will be fireworks and a pirate-themed party.

How much does it cost?

There are over a dozen different room types to choose from, with prices varying depending on the departure city and room type. For example, the starting price for a twin room departing from Sydney is $720 USD per person, while it is $546 USD per person departing from Melbourne, $755 USD per person departing from Brisbane, and $760 USD per person for a three-night twin room departing from Auckland.

When and where you can get your tickets?

Ticket sales will begin on September 29, 2022, at 8:00 am Australian Eastern Time and 11:00 am New Zealand Time. The Disney Magic has been sailing since 1998 and has primarily been cruising in North American and European waters. This is the first time the ship will visit the waters of Australia and New Zealand.
