If you don’t know what to give your significant ones as a gift, chocolate is always a safe bet! Although you can find chocolate at the supermarket any day, you can get them from those exquisite, rare, and charming artisanal chocolates instead!

Top Chocolate Shops in Sydney

Koko Black

KoKo Black is probably the hottest artisan chocolate shop in Australia, with almost 20 years of history (founded in Melbourne in 2003). If you’re in Sydney or Melbourne, you must try it! Its handmade and natural taste are two of its core selling points, with over 100 products and high visual appeal.

It’s really the best chocolate we’ve ever tasted, with a huge range of flavours and unique designs for each type. You can even mix and match your favourite flavours! Because they are all handmade, prices range from around $2-3 per piece.

They have multiple stores in the Sydney CBD.

Josophan’s Fine Chocolate

This is a famous shop in the Blue Mountains, and all its chocolates have fair trade certification, with no preservatives or artificial flavours. They also have high-heeled shoe-shaped chocolates.

When you come to the town of Leura, you can’t miss a visit to Josophan’s Chocolate. The exquisite chocolate paired with unique flavours will surprise you with every bite! You can also try their most famous one in the store is – the Mango Chilli Chocolate.

Belle Fleur Fine Chocolates

This is also an old brand in Sydney, and their 64-piece chocolate gift box is definitely your first choice for gift giving, with a large box that will give you face when you give it away.

There are branches in Rozelle, Maroubra, and Petersham. There is a wide variety of chocolates available, and you can choose different sizes of boxes to assemble your own chocolates!

Adora Handmade Chocolates

This brand was created by two sisters in 1993, and its products are particularly rich in variety and shape, with many combined with other ingredients.

The taste is pretty good. I like their soft-centred chocolates, such as the blueberry-filled square ones, which are even better, hehe. They cost $2.5 each and come in boxes of 10, 20, or 30. The blue packaging is quite recognisable!

Their hot chocolate is also one of their signature items, so if you pass by, you should give it a try!

Kakawa

This brand was created by a chocolate master who studied in Switzerland, and they have many unique and creatively shaped products, such as caramel olive chocolates and even shoe-shaped chocolates.

Since October 2008, Kakawa Chocolates has been making beautiful and fresh handmade chocolates in Sydney. Not only are they visually appealing, but the taste is also exceptional. Their signature items include fruit chocolates and mahjong chocolates, and they do not contain any additives or preservatives, which means their shelf life is relatively short.

Haigh’s

This chocolate brand was founded in 1915 and is also well-known in Sydney. Their taste is relatively conventional, but they are suitable for last-minute gift selection, with randomly selected chocolates that won’t go wrong.
