Inside Sydney’s Best Glass Tiny House Farm Stay

This stunning glass cabin (Tiny Home in Glenquarry) is hidden on a farm near Sydney. Through the floor-to-ceiling triangular windows you can see the entire forest and sunset outside. At night the moonlight shines into the room, and in the morning the sunlight fills the whole space. It is very romantic, although it also means you might not sleep very well because the view is too beautiful!

The farm also has alpacas that you can interact with, and during sunset every photo looks amazing. The atmosphere of the forest and the sunset makes it feel like a scene from a movie.

The cabin is located in the small and quiet area of Glenquarry. It is not far from Bowral, the well-known tulip town, and about a 40-minute drive from the fairy-tale coastal town of Gerringong. It is perfect for a weekend stay while visiting both towns.

We travelled there from Sydney by train to Bowral Station using NSW TrainLink Regional Service. From the station it takes about 20 minutes by Uber to reach the cabin, which is actually located in Glenquarry.

At night you can see a sky full of stars. Outside the cabin you can also have a bonfire barbecue. You need to start the fire yourself. The host provides tools and marshmallows, but the process requires some patience. When sleeping you can also see the moon reflected on the lake, which feels very peaceful and beautiful.

If you plan to cook, it is recommended to buy groceries first in Bowral town centre. From Bowral Station it takes about a 10-minute walk to reach Coles or Woolworths. You can buy ingredients there and bring them back to the cabin to cook, or prepare food in advance and reheat it in the microwave. The cabin is located on a hill, and at night it becomes very dark, so it is not convenient to go out again without a car.

Bowral itself is also a very beautiful town about one hour from Sydney. The roads, houses, restaurants and even the neatly trimmed trees make it feel quite different from typical Australian towns. It is a great place for a relaxing weekend trip for two people.

The cabin we stayed in is called Tiny Home in Glenquarry, and we stayed in Cabin 1. The surroundings are quiet, peaceful and very romantic. Watching the sunset there really feels like stepping into a movie scene.
