Last weekend, we visited a lavender farm near Boonah, and it was such a refreshing experience. We love road trips, driving there gave me the chance to take in the surrounding scenery. It was the perfect way to relax after a busy week. This time, we went to Kooroomba Lavender Farm, which is absolutely worth a visit. The place is incredibly beautiful, so be sure to bring a picnic mat and relax on the grass while enjoying the views of the mountains and lavender fields.
The farm also has a winery, a restaurant, and a lavender shop. For wine tasting, they offer seven different wines: $5 to taste three, or $10 to try them all.
The restaurant and wine bar at the farm are also great spots to dine. Just remember to book the restaurant in advance (online or by phone, and you’ll need to provide a credit card; cancellation fees apply if you don’t show up). The food is great, and we particularly enjoyed their lavender-infused English Breakfast Tea!
The wine bar is available for walk-ins and offers stunning views. On Sundays from 12 PM to 4 PM, there’s live music.
The lavender shop has a variety of products, including chocolates and the popular lavender-scented teddy bears!
Unfortunately, we arrived too late this time and missed out on the lavender ice cream and lavender scones. Hopefully, we’ll get the chance to try them next time!
