Highly recommend the Railway Museum at Bassendean! Allowing kids to explore the nostalgic trains is a fascinating experience!
Many who have been in Perth for years are unaware of it. Honestly, we didn’t have high expectations before going, but we were pleasantly surprised when we visited!
Experience at Bassendean Railway Museum
The Railway Museum is located in the northern part of Perth, in the Bayswater area. Inside the museum, you can touch real trains from the 19th century!
Here you will find trains from different eras. You can even enter the carriages to explore and take photos!
There’s one train carriage that looks super similar to the one heading to Hogwarts – it’s incredibly photogenic!
We went in Jan, and the temperature was still relatively high! Although the displayed train cars are under shelters, it’s hard to endure the heat, and sweating is inevitable!
Note that currently, the museum is only open two days a week (Wednesday and Sunday). Before going, remember to check on Google Maps to ensure it’s open, so you don’t miss out!
Tickets and fees
Adults $10/person, Children (4-14 years old) $5/person, Free for children under 4! The family ticket is more cost-effective
