The Edendale Community Environment Farm is located in Eltham, Melbourne’s northeast area. It’s free to enter, and inside, you can see guinea pigs, small goats, alpacas, black chickens, small ponies, and other farm animals!

The farm opens at 10 am, so early risers can spend time at the nearby playground before it opens. The facilities there are large and comprehensive, with a sandpit, slides, swings, climbing structures, and more. There’s also a BBQ area and restroom, making it a great place for hosting parties!

Is Edendale Farm free?

Yes, i’s free to enter, and inside, you can see guinea pigs, small goats, alpacas, black chickens, small ponies, and other farm animals!

What to do at Edendale Community Environment Farm 

Outside the reception hut, you can buy chicken feed on a self-service basis.

Feeding the chickens is especially interesting; many of them will follow you. If you’re afraid of the chickens, it’s recommended to stand on the benches outside the yard and feed the chickens. For some kids, going inside to feed them can be a bit scary!

Make sure to go to the backyard to find those two small ponies, one white and one brown; they are really cute. You can pet them, and they will look at you with cute eyes, absolutely adorable!

There are three or four open party areas in the farm, with a small river nearby. The environment is excellent, and the toilets are also close by. It’s very suitable for hosting birthday parties for kids. Kids can play with small animals, ensuring they won’t get bored! There are also many small flower beds inside, where you can buy seeds.

In addition, if you go out from the back door of the farm and cross a bridge, you will find a large playground! The facilities in this playground are super complete, with various climbing structures, slides, swings, and more, fully meeting the play needs of children. It’s a one-stop solution for taking care of kids!
