On social media, I came across this newly opened cafe several times. It completely grew on my aesthetic point. So on an afternoon with nothing to do, I brought a book and went there.
Before going, I actually saw some bad reviews like waiting a long time for a seat, need to take off shoes before entering, the window seats are all tatami, some people also said the space is small and a bit noisy, not very suitable for studying or chatting, the food is just average, etc.
But after visiting, I was actually quite satisfied, pretty much the same as I imagined. We went on a weekday at around 2pm (really recommend avoiding peak times). At that time, there were probably three or four tables occupied in the shop, not full.
Right after we ordered tea, a window seat happened to become available, so we successfully got a small corner that we really liked. You can look outside the window, or lean back and daydream or read a book.
We ordered a pot of Moonlight white tea. You can add water a few times times, and I sat there slowly drinking for more than two hours! It also comes with a small plate of Chinese-style pastries (seems like there are six or seven kinds to choose from).
After adding the 10% surcharge and card payment fee, it came to around $28.
Overall, I will probably come again. I personally quite like this kind of Japanese-style place where you can drink tea and read books. Although the environment is not particularly quiet, with music, conversations from neighboring tables, and the frequent ding-ding tram sounds passing outside the window, it instead gives a feeling of peaceful passing years.
Of course, if you want a better experience, remember to go during off-peak times!
Otherwise it might be a little discouraging haha.
