White Ridge Farm Reviews

White Ridge Farm Reviews

Saturdays are usually a packed day, kids finish up whatever classes they’ve got on, then it’s about finding something to do with the autumn afternoon. Meeting up with friends for a wander around a small farm, feeding the animals, turned out to be a solid choice. Not too cold, not too hot either.

Where It Is and Who It Suits

White Ridge Farm is at 130 Hamilton Rd, Elimbah QLD 4516, about 50 minutes from Brisbane and five minutes from Caboolture. Good option for families on the north side looking for a Saturday outing. You can genuinely spend a whole day here if you want to.

The Animals

There’s a decent spread of animals here, llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, donkeys, mini horses, calves, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, parrots. Enough to keep the kids busy feeding for a good while. On top of the standard petting zoo lineup, they’ve also got a camel, which isn’t something you see at most of these farms. Beyond just feeding, kids can hold the chickens and brush the sheep’s wool too, not just pat and walk past.

Horse Riding and Mini Golf

You can go horse riding for $8 a ride, staff were genuinely lovely and the kids loved it. Right next to the horse riding area there’s a 9-hole mini golf course too, my daughter wasn’t fussed on that one so I didn’t end up taking photos of it, but it’s there if your kid’s into it.

The Playground

There are four different playground areas set up for different age groups, so littler kids and bigger kids both get something suited to them. Between them there’s a trampoline, slides, a mud kitchen, and a section with ride-on toy cars the kids can drive around, a bit like something out of Super JoJo. Plenty to properly tire the kids out.

Tractor Rides and More

Beyond the basics, there’s a tractor ride around the property that takes you out through the farm, and the farm also runs a Timeline Train. Both are included in your entry, not an extra cost.

Picnic Areas

There are shaded spots scattered around if you want to bring your own picnic rather than eat on the go, worth knowing if you’re planning to make a full day of it.

Tickets

Pricing has changed a bit over time, worth checking current rates before you go. Current 2026 pricing is $34 for adults, $17 for kids aged 2 to 17, infants under 2 free, and a family pass (2 adults, 2 kids) at $98. Our own visit was at an earlier price point, somewhere around $25 to $29 for adults and $14 for kids, with a $75 family ticket (2 adults, 2 kids) at the time. There’s also an annual pass available, worth it if you think you’ll get back there three times or more across the year.

Food and Drink

Bring your own. On our visit, there wasn’t much available to buy inside beyond water and ice creams at the entrance, so don’t rely on getting a proper meal there. Some more recent listings mention a small cafe selling snacks, so it’s worth checking current options before you go in case that’s changed since.

Opening Hours

Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 3pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays outside of school holidays. During Queensland school holidays, they’re open all seven days, same hours.

If you’ve got little ones and enjoy animal encounters, this one’s worth the drive out.
