Last week brought the kid and went to a park, felt like I needed to go with all the friends who have kids, mentioned it one time.
Loganholme that side, called Alexander Clark Park.
I had before completely not heard of this place, just scrolled past and saw someone mention it once, then we just drove over and went.

You enter and just see this one super big wombat sculpture standing there. My family’s small kid saw it and the first reaction was to directly run over — I still hadn’t reacted yet and she was already climbing up.
She can climb the rope up and then from inside slide down.
She came and went and played approximately seven or eight times (I didn’t count anyway, just kept letting her play).
Bike Track That Feels Like a Mini Road System
Then there is a bicycle race track, this one was really very surprising.
It’s not that kind of ordinary one strip road, it’s designed into a small road system feeling — has curve roads, has straight roads, still has a simulated gas station where kids can “ride their bike to fill gas”, stop and “check the car”.
I was standing on the side watching and even felt it was fun, adults can get into that feeling too.
We brought the balance bike and it was completely worth it.
Water Play Area (Perfect for Summer)
The water play area is also really too suitable for summer.
It’s not that kind where water just keeps spraying — kids are in control of it themselves. There’s a water pump, small water channels, a bucket you can pour water with. Kids just go tinker and then they’re all wet already (they will definitely get all wet, I brought a change of clothes in advance, fortunately).
There’s also a spray mist cooling device, adults standing on the side also feel very comfortable.
Other Play Equipment & Facilities
Play equipment also has trampolines, swings, a flying fox, rock climbing, balance beam, slides with several height options, and outside there’s still a basketball court and beach volleyball court, and a big patch of grass — feels like you can spend a whole day here.
There are very many trees inside the park, natural tree shade, plus a big part of the equipment has sun shade sails on top, so although it’s summer it’s still okay.
On the side there’s also a dog park, and walking a little bit further is the Logan River where you can fish.
Weekend Atmosphere
The weekend we went there were very many local families there — some were barbecuing (the public barbecue grills are free to use), some spread picnic mats under the trees — just that kind of very relaxed Australian family weekend feeling, it doesn’t feel noisy, just very lively and very full of life.
Tips & What to Bring
Need to say some tips — a change of clothes is definitely something you need to bring, kids will get wet for sure, and it’s best to bring up the bicycle, balance bike, scooter, whatever you have, it will be more fun.
If you’re planning to stay one afternoon, bring a picnic mat, folding chair, hat, water bottle, sunscreen, and you can basically use up a whole day there already.
Pavilion spots are limited, but very many families just sit under the big trees and it’s actually very nice too.
