Our kid really loves Harry Potter, so we bought tickets a few months in advance. This time going to Harry Potter The Exhibition at Sydney Olympic Park really felt like stepping back into Hogwarts. The whole exhibition is very interactive and participatory, and there was no boredom along the way. Not only children, but adults also had a lot of fun.
As soon as you walk in, the magical atmosphere under the night setting is fully activated: glowing trees, floating magic light orbs, and projections of magical creatures such as Thestrals, unicorns, and phoenixes. It really feels like accidentally entering the Forbidden Forest. Many people wear Harry Potter costumes for photos. The place is very suitable for photography, every shot looks cinematic. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes so you can walk slowly and fully experience it. There is parking nearby, but not many spaces, 2 hours free.
Harry Potter The Exhibition finally came to Sydney.
Sydney Olympic Park Paddington Pavilion.
Parking at the entrance, many 2P spots, very convenient.
Harry Potter The Exhibition Reviews
The experience is very immersive. Many classic scenes from the movies are recreated. There are also many interactive activities. Walking through the whole place feels like going back to childhood. Harry Potter touring exhibition came to Sydney. Harry Potter themed exhibition came to Sydney. Not only movie props and costumes are displayed, many classic scenes are also recreated, and there are various interactive experiences. Very suitable for fans to visit, or bring children to explore the magical world. Location is at Olympic Park.
Overall experience is quite good. The scene design is very careful, each room has a theme such as Quidditch, Herbology, Potions, Divination, and Hagrid’s Hut, presenting the main elements from the movies. There are also many interactive mini games, which are quite engaging. Even kids who are not big fans can stay entertained for a long time. Ticket price is not cheap, but still worth going. On weekends there are many visitors, but entry is controlled in batches so it does not feel crowded. Experience is still good.
Harry Potter Exhibition in Sydney, must go, magical benefits for Muggles. Personal experience is very good, completely worth the ticket price.
We stayed inside for about 1 hour and 50 minutes. The whole time was engaging and not boring. There were quite a lot of people but not enough to affect viewing experience. Staff did a great job controlling the flow. While queuing to scan tickets, you can already see the bricks leading into Diagon Alley, building strong atmosphere. After scanning, while waiting to enter, there were simple Harry Potter quizzes which made the atmosphere even more lively.
The exhibition covers most classic scenes: house dormitories, major character introductions and costumes, potion room, herbology room, train station, Harry’s room, Quidditch match, Nimbus 2000, Hagrid’s house, and Voldemort visual effects.
The interactive experience is also quite good, combining sound, light and visual effects. You can make potions, find your Patronus, pull a mandrake, and look into a crystal ball. Although the outcomes are preset, it is still enjoyable. As a Muggle, there is nothing else to demand.
Overall it is very worth visiting. Both adults and kids will enjoy it.
This Harry Potter exhibition is even better for photos than expected. Once you enter, it feels like stepping directly into the movie, with many iconic scenes and original props such as wizard robes, Quidditch equipment, magical creatures, and house settings. Seeing them up close really gives the feeling that the movie world is right in front of you.
The exhibition is highly interactive, not just for viewing. You can try wand movements, mini games, and many photo-friendly setups. Almost every spot is good for photos. Lighting and atmosphere are very well done, with a Hogwarts dark magical world feeling.
The whole visit takes about 1 hour, longer if you take many photos. VIP gift is a black tote bag, not very worth it in my opinion. On less busy days, buying a standard ticket is enough.
