This time coincidentally caught The Grounds with a new theme. Now you need to dine here to take photos, or you can also grab a cup of coffee.
There happens to be an inflatable castle for kids to play in. You can pre-book this jumping castle online or walk in; the kids are quite happy playing in it. The new theme is cactus, just the usual Grounds style!
The lanes inside are perfect for taking photos! If you go around 3 or 4pm in the afternoon, you can snap pictures in any style!
The Grounds – Mexican Fiesta
The latest theme is the Mexican “Fiesta”. Many Mexican specialties have been added, including dishes, desserts, and cocktails.
Specialties include tempura cod fish taco/ cinnamon churros/ tequila sunrise/ pina colada taco cake / cancun sunrise cake!
On Monday nights, there’s a special dinner with one main dish free for kids.
On Tuesdays, there’s a “make your own” taco night with live performances at 6:30 pm.
On Thursdays, there’s a Valentine’s Day evening from 6-10 pm, $40 per person, where you can bring a +1 or meet new friends.
There were very few people, probably because it’s not the weekend, and you need to show proof of purchase. The ticket is simply your purchase at The Grounds’ cafe. We ordered coffee for two and a cake. The strawberry cake was delicious, you won’t believe it. We spent 28 AUD. Remember to ask for a receipt! Then, just show it to the security at the entrance, and you can go take photos at the new theme.
And it feels quite different at night compared to during the day!
The place is right next to the Lululemon store, and there’s a parking lot at the entrance. Their decorations change themes every now and then, and this time we happened to catch the Fiesta theme!
