The Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon (September 29 2023). On this day, Mooncakes are a must-have. In this post, we will share with you some super delicious mooncakes that you can order in Sydney for the Mid-Autumn Festival!

Where to buy the Best Mooncakes in Sydney

Mei-Xin Mooncakes

The classic Mei-Xin Mooncakes can definitely make you feel like you’re instantly transported back to China. Our favourite is their double yolk lotus seed paste mooncake, which is classic and unbeatable.

Each mooncake has two runny salted egg yolks. They also have a low-sugar version, which is great for those who don’t want to gain weight during the pandemic! You can get this from most Chinese grocery store in Sydney.

G-Lab

G-Lab’s peach-skin custard mooncake is both delicious and beautiful. We highly recommend their traditional Chinese-style lotus flower gift box, which has four flavours: golden sand custard, cherry peach-skin cranberry custard, dragon well peach-skin matcha custard, and chocolate peach-skin black sesame custard.

Taste of Shanghai (TOS)

If you like the old-fashioned flaky meat mooncakes, then Taste of Shanghai is definitely worth a try!

The Suzhou-style mooncake crust is so addictive, and this is the only mooncake I feel that the thicker the crust, the better. The meat filling paired with the flaky crust is just amazing!

Dulcet Cakes & Sweet

This shop not only has delicious mille-feuille cakes but also mooncakes that are incredibly popular! We also love their golden sand custard mooncake. Plus, you can order them conveniently online.

Sweet Lu

Sweet Lu cannot be missed this Mid-Autumn Festival. Their signature custard mooncake with a flowing centre is amazing. If you like you can also microwave it for 10 seconds before eating it. Their black truffle custard mooncake is supper delicious! The combination of black chocolate, walnuts, black truffle, and flavour is just fantastic.

The packaging is also very thoughtful, with many gift box options that are perfect for giving as a gift.
