A playground my little one keeps going back to again and again! If you’re tired of the same old playgrounds, you have to check out this animal-themed one – Wren Close Playground.
That giant cow alone is enough to make kids stop in their tracks. The black parts are actually chalkboards, and the council thoughtfully provides a big box of colorful chalk for kids to draw on.
Wren Close Playground
The main slide structure has multiple entry points, so kids can choose their own level of challenge—stairs, ramps, or rope nets. Unlike most modern playgrounds, the inside features a long corridor. For little ones, just running from one end to the other is already so much fun. It’s lined with tall wooden panels, so parents can relax knowing it’s safe.
Besides the main slide, there’s also a climbing frame nearby—better suited for kids aged 4+, as it’s quite challenging and pretty tall once you reach the top. The swing area is surrounded by lush trees, and you’ll often see kids riding scooters around. It’s a peaceful little neighborhood park.
The playground gets repainted and maintained every few years, so the colors are still vibrant and the equipment feels almost new—you wouldn’t guess it’s been here for over 10 years. My little one is currently obsessed, highly recommend you check it out too!
