Shimmering Pines Farm – Adelaide Sunflower Field

Shimmering Pines Farm - Adelaide Sunflower Field

Shimmering Pines Farm is worth a visit! The sunflowers here are truly beautiful, and the display is quite spectacular!

Getting to Shimmering Pines Farm

It takes a little over an hour to drive from the city centre. Mostly on highways once out of the city. It’s not the vast expanse of sunflower fields as imagined; it’s a rather small area. Although not as expansive as expected, the sight of each sunflower is still charming.

Our experience

Upon reaching the farm, there will be signs guiding you to the entrance. Admission requires purchasing a ticket, around $15. Each person can pick two sunflowers; if you want more, it’s $2 per additional sunflower.

Remember to bring your own scissors or borrow from the staff at the entrance.

Besides the beautiful sunflowers, there are also many market stalls. It’s suitable for the whole family to enjoy!

We left early around 8am and arrived around 9:30 to 10am. At that time, it’s not too hot, and there aren’t too many people, so it’s perfect for taking photos!

By the time we were leaving, it got crowded. For those planning to go, it’s recommended to start early!

Tickets and fees

Tickets can be booked on the official website, but it’s the last day tomorrow, and the website is already sold out. You can try calling them to inquire about on-site ticket availability since they have a card machine visible.

Additional tips

Most importantly, bring a bucket of water. After picking sunflowers, place them in water immediately; otherwise, they’ll wilt quickly. We picked six, and by the time we got home, they seemed on the verge of wilting.
