You have just found the perfect school for your child! And you also have an interview with the school next week. Now you may get a little nervous as you are not sure what you are likely to get asked.
What types of questions to expect
The interview is more for the principal to get to know your kid. The questions will mostly be directed to your kid. Interview provides the principal a chance to ask your kid questions to find out:

- What subject do you enjoy the most?
- Do you play any musical instrument?
- What is one place you’d like travel to?
- What do you do in your spare time?
- Do you have any hobbies or interests?

Catholic school interview questions and tips
What happens if you are not Catholic but you are going to have an interview at a Catholic school? Don’t stress, actually some Catholic schools are only 60% baptised children.
Some schools might not discuss about religion at all in their interviews or none of the questions will be centred around it.
Although here are some of the questions they might ask depending on the school:

- How active as a member you are within your local church

If you are not Catholic, the biggest top for you would be to just be honest and don’t try and come across as religious. For example, If you’re asked whether you attend church, just be honest and say no.

- Make sure your kid is wearing clean uniform or casual cloths that conform to the school’s dress code
