Melbourne’s mega-scale RISING Arts Festival will officially return in June 2023! This is an art extravaganza specially crafted for Melbourne, inviting everyone to get lost, delve deep, and unwind in the wonders of art!

RISING will create a wave in the heart of Melbourne, illuminating the entire city with creativity! From visual arts, installations, performances, and live music to unique culinary events, it offers a variety of experiences for people to fully indulge in.

SHADOW SPIRIT

Step into a new dimension, where you feel the fluctuations of time between the past and the present, immersing yourself in a cave-like arena that houses ethereal water spirits. This abstract desert world tells the tale of ancient wisdom still in practice. The ballroom weaves together plant and animal ecologies with songs and rituals, allowing you to become fully immersed in the experience.

Dates: June 7 – July 19

Hours: Sun-Thu 11am-7pm / Fri-Sat 11am-8pm

Location: Flinders Street Station Ballroom

EUPHORIA

The exhibition hall presents an otherworldly epic with the enchanting sounds of jazz and a children’s choir in surround sound, while reflecting on influential economists, writers, and thinkers from history.

Dates: June 2 – June 18

Hours: Sun-Wed 12-8pm / Thu-Sat 12-10pm

Location: Melbourne Town Hall

WEYES BLOOD

Weyes Blood describes her apocalyptic pop music project as “nostalgic futurism.” She brings forth her emotive take on punk rock through instruments like the marimba, steel drum, and horn.

Dates: June 7 – June 8, 8pm

Location: Forum Melbourne

Tickets: $89
