Privacy Policy: Selfie Cam & Fill Light – Lume

Last Updated: April 2, 2026

1. Introduction

At Lume, we prioritize user privacy through a strict “Zero-Data” architecture. This app is designed as a local-only utility that turns your device screen into a professional fill-light.

2. Face Data and Biometric Information

Apple Guideline 5.1.1 Compliance:

  • No Retention of Face Data: Lume does not access, collect, or store face data. No biometric mapping, facial recognition, or facial modeling occurs within the app.
  • Third-Party Sharing: We do not share face data with any third parties.
  • Reasons for Sharing: As we do not collect or share face data, there are no commercial or functional reasons for data transmission.
  • Third-Party Storage: No third parties store any face data from Lume. All camera processing is performed 100% locally on the user’s device in real-time.

3. Image Storage and User Content

Lume does not host or store your photos. When you capture a selfie, the app uses the native iOS system-level API to save the image directly to your local device library. We never have access to your saved photos, and no images are ever transmitted to external servers or AI models.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

To manage premium features and secure transactions, we use the following services:

  • RevenueCat: Uses an anonymous identifier to manage your subscription status. No personal identity or face data is linked to this service.
  • Apple: Handles all payment processing. We never see or store your financial information.

5. Device Permissions

  • Camera Access: Used solely for a live preview so you can see the lighting effects before taking a photo. No feed is recorded or transmitted.
  • Photo Library Access: Used only to save your completed photo directly to your device.
