In Melbourne, You Can Also Enjoy the Letao Cheesecakes from Japan

LeTao is the famous cheesecake from Hokkaido, Japan. There are always many people queuing at the door every time we pass by. We used to often indulge in Letao while in Japan. Letao’s rich milk flavour from Japan is exceptional, and it’s so special that once you take a bite, you can’t stop. There’s a Letao branch opened in Melbourne CBD last year.

You can try their cakes for free, so you don’t have to worry about making the wrong choice. Just try the taste first, and if you like it, buy it. Last September, we bought their matcha-flavoured cheesecake and we really thought it was delicious. We ended up devouring the whole cake in half a day!

Recently, we saw their strawberry cheesecake back on Instagram, so today we decided to go buy it! There are several flavours available for tasting in the store, and the staff are super friendly. This time, we bought the limited edition strawberry flavour and there was also a promotion! They gave an extra whole cream cake. Two cakes for $42!

Inside the cake, there are fresh oranges and strawberries with a refreshing taste! We also tried their strawberry sundae with ice cream. It’s not overly sweet or cloying, and it retains its own flavour. The staff also told us the milk is from Hokkaido and it’s not too sweet, it’s really delicious!

Must-try desserts

Summer Limited Edition Melon Flavour Cake

The top layer of the cake is made with honeydew melon flavour crumbs, the second layer is a rich cheesecake-flavoured cream, with a frozen texture similar to ice cream, and the bottom layer is a melon-flavoured cake. The rich cheesy aroma mixed with the unique flavour of summer melon doesn’t feel overly sweet even after finishing the whole thing!

Classic Double-layer Cheesecake

A must-order among the signature cake! The middle double-layer cheese consists of a layer of Italian mascarpone cheese mousse on top, followed by Hokkaido’s characteristic fresh cream, and then the bottom layer of sponge cake embryo in the perfect golden ratio. Each layer is perfectly balanced, and today’s calorie quota is dedicated to it!

Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream

Take a sip, and enjoy the rich milk flavour and incredibly smooth texture!

Milk & Cake Sharing Cup

If you want to enjoy two popular items at the same time, you can choose the mixed cup of ice cream and cake. The delicate and smooth milk ice cream combined with the rich cheese flavour bursts in your taste buds instantly, making the heat and annoyance disappear in an instant!
