Booked a two hour session online, walked in with no real expectations. Came out surprised.
$7 for an adult, kids scaled from free up to about $22.50 depending on age, cheaper if you go for the play bundle and eat there too. Socks compulsory, kids and adults, sold at the counter if you’ve forgotten a pair. Two hour session, one train ride included, does a loop of the place roughly once an hour. Santa was set up for photos the day we went, seasonal thing, wouldn’t count on it being there year round.
Downstairs
Ball pit’s the first stop for most kids, proper depth to it, slides feeding straight in, a couple of trampolines set into a padded platform off the side. Mini supermarket corner too, pretend bread, fruit, veg, seafood, the kind of thing a four year old will restock for ten minutes straight without getting bored. Machine off to the side washes the ball pit balls, staff were in and out wiping things down the whole time we were there. Floor’s padded right through, which matters more than it sounds like once there’s a toddler in the mix still working out how to walk properly.
Upstairs
Three rooms up top, worth the trip on their own. Lego table, our kid parked there for close to an hour, didn’t look up once. Dress-up room round the corner, full rail of princess dresses, small mirror and play vanity, a couple of girls basically moved in for the afternoon. Ice cream van built into the wall, only fits two kids at a time, expect some negotiating over turns. Seating up there sits in honeycomb-shaped booths along the wall, doubles as a quiet corner if you need five minutes away from the noise.

Food and the party room
Café counter downstairs, drinks, ice cream, a bit of hot food. Several separate seating areas, not all crammed on one bench like some of these places. Party room off to the side, proper size, not the leftover cupboard some places call a party room. Bathroom has a baby change table, and there’s allocated pram parking near reception if you don’t want to be lugging one around the whole time.
We didn’t get through everything in two hours. There’s more to it than the photos suggest.
Parking
Right at the door. Short walk from Oakleigh Central if the kids don’t want the cafe food.
For comparison
Tried a newer play cafe out in Blackburn not long before this one. Cramped, crowd wasn’t managed well, parking more hassle than it should’ve been. Made this one look better by contrast.
Address and booking
2-4 Oxford Street, Oakleigh. Hours shift by day, worth checking their booking page before heading over. Book ahead, sessions fill. Keep an eye on their socials too, they push weekday discounts fairly often.
