GLOW at Sydney Zoo – Sydney Event

Sydney Zoo GLOW

Sydney Zoo Glow is the recent nighttime event at Sydney Zoo, and it’s absolutely dazzling! Tickets can be purchased through the official website with reserved time slots.

The event starts at 5:30 pm each evening. Today, even at 7:30 pm, there were still many people entering. Some of the parking lots have been transformed into illuminated playgrounds, featuring three glowing swings, various photo-worthy illuminated objects, and interactive musical light toys!

What to experience at GLOW

Ice skating

There is an ice rink where you can go ice skating. They have small penguins, and children with shoe sizes below 12 will be provided with trainers. Be cautious as the soft straps can cause tripping. The ice surface is not as smooth as a dedicated skating rink and has uneven spots, especially where you can see white gaps in a U-shaped depression. Stay safe while skating. It costs $20 for 30 minutes, but the timing is based on sessions rather than the time of ticket purchase. So be mindful of the session time while buying tickets to make the most of your skating experience.

Mini-golf

There is a mini-golf course with glowing balls and holes, adding a fun twist to the game.

Ferris wheel

The Ferris wheel and spinning swing ride require separate tickets available at the kiosk or the cafe. It costs $8 per person, and they sparkle beautifully. There is a colourful shadow puppet show that is quite enjoyable. Upon ticket purchase, you will receive a purple flashlight that reveals many hidden secrets when shone on the guidebook and pillars around the park. It’s a detective game that children especially love.

It’s a highly recommended and fun-filled experience that is definitely worth a visit!
