Busselton Jetty Train Ride
The Jetty offers visitors a tourist train ride as well an underwater observatory. The train ride goes to the end of the jetty and you will be given a 5 minutes to explore the whale drawings on the floor of the jetty! The train is powered by solar panels and is the first of its kind in Australia! If you are lucky enough, you might be able to see the dolphins. The train takes 45 minutes for the return trip and it leaves every hour, however it can be pretty full so don’t forget to get there as early as you can.
Busselton Jetty Underwater Observatory
The underwater observatory is definitely a great addition to the train trip. Your friendly tour guide will greet you at the end of the Jetty to guide you through the Underwater Observatory. As you descend 8m below the sea surface you will be lead through the natural wonders that lie beneath the Jetty where it’s piles create the Australia’s greatest artificial reef host, You and your family will be able to discover more than 300 individual marine species in their natural habitat through eleven viewing windows at various levels within the 9.5 metres diameter observation chamber. The place can be very busy and fully booked especially during the school holiday period, so don’t forget to visit their website and book in advance.
Busselton Foreshore Playground
The playground is located alongside the jetty and it is also a must visit place while you are in Busselton. Kids are welcome to climb aboard the old Busselton Jetty carriage.
Forest Adventures
Forest Adventures high ropes courses and flying foxes has 77 activities set high among the magnificent tuart trees! You can hang around in the trees, climb the ladders and fly along up to 11 flying foxes. You can have fun with the whole family and challenge each other on six unique courses for every level of adrenaline and fitness!
