Paradise Point Parklands (Upgrade) Reviews

https://schoolholidaysaustralia.com.au/paradise-point-parklands-upgrade-reviews/

Found somewhere new to add to the Gold Coast rotation! Just reopened after an upgrade, so we went to check it out.

Slides, climbing, water play… kids played till they didn’t want to go home, parents finally got to breathe.

The Big Blue Dome — Hard to Miss

First thing you see walking in. Tall, rounded climbing cage, little porthole cut-outs, connects straight into a long spiral tube slide. Kids climb up the inside, loop their way down. Rope net section underneath too, plus a second shorter slide off the side for the less daring ones.

Right next to it: a big blue arched swing set, several swings along the one frame. Huge shade sail over the top — needed, Gold Coast sun doesn’t mess around!

Ocean Theme All the Way Through

Not just paint-deep. Little sensory trail winding through the trees — signposts, a sea-creature search game (find the jellyfish 🪼, the starfish, the crabs, the turtles), balance beams, stepping logs. Plus a row of giant green chime poles — kids bang on them like an outdoor xylophone 🎶

Right by the Broadwater, With a Beach to Match

The park sits along The Esplanade overlooking the Gold Coast Broadwater, and there’s a proper little beach just metres from the playground — soft sand, shade sails, calm water, with the Sovereign Islands bridge in view across the water. Good for a swim or a paddle once the kids have worn themselves out on the equipment.

Why It’s Going on the List

Honestly, between the shade, the beach, and the sheer number of things to climb on, our kids didn’t want to leave. We finally got a minute to sit down while they played, which is really all you want from a playground trip.

If you’re stuck for where to take the kids this weekend, pin this one. Good weather, a picnic blanket, and you’re set for a few hours.

  • Great for burning off energy
  • Shaded, relaxed setting
  • Bring a picnic blanket if the weather’s good

Kids happy, parents off the hook.

Address – Paradise Point Parklands, The Esplanade, Paradise Point QLD 4216

If you’re after more Gold Coast playgrounds, we’ve also covered Bim’bimba Park in Pimpama — a different style (nature-inspired, big tower slide) but another solid half-day out.
