Should you ever be in Berwick, make sure not to miss the Minta Hilltop Fantasy Playground. Honestly, this place is a rare find. It’s hard to believe a place this magical is merely a short turn off the main road, yet here it stands—as if you’ve stepped into a real-life storybook. We discovered it not long ago, and wow, I wish I’d had somewhere like this when I was a kid.
Minta Hilltop Fantasy Playground reviews
Imagine this: you arrive, and the first thing that catches your eye is a charming castle, featuring turrets and soft pastel hues. It’s not too much or loud—only artfully created, with a subtle allure that promptly pulls children in. I was able to see my child’s eyes brighten before we got past the gates.
My favorite part? It’s got layers. Last year, my kid only wanted to sit on the swing or dig in the sand. Back then, the slides and climbing towers seemed almost comically big. Fast forward to now, and he’s scaling the place by himself, zipping down slides and testing his confidence with every visit. You blink, and suddenly they’re little adventurers.
You can’t miss the giant horse climbing structure—seriously, it’s enormous and stands right at the foot of the castle. This is one of those features created for that special proud parent moment. I am still waiting for the moment my son makes it to the top, so I can take a photo of my boy ‘riding’ the horse just like a knight.
If there are small children, the playground does not exclude them, too. Go left at the entrance and you will find yourself in an excellent toddler area. It’s very carefully designed—you actually get to relax on a seat as your child explores their surroundings.
For bigger kids, it’s a dream come true. Several slides twist around the castle towers, and there is a particularly long slide everyone rushes to try first. In between, you’ll find climbing walls, bridges, rope ladders—everything an eager explorer could hope for. The area seems spacious enough for children to wander freely, but you can consistently spot their whereabouts.
Picnic-wise, you’re all set. The lawn adjacent to the playground offers plenty of shade because of the big umbrellas, and clean BBQ areas are available if you feel like grilling some lunch. I noticed families with everything from picnic rugs to a full-on birthday party setup.
Bathrooms are located just off to the side—not fancy, but functional. There are three in total, with one designed for babies and parents, complete with a huge changing table. Heads up, though: bring your own hand soap and maybe some backup toilet paper. The facilities are not consistently well supplied, and it’s simply more convenient to bring your own supplies.

Parking is a breeze, too—there’s plenty of free street parking right along Soho Boulevard, so no endless circling or long walks.
What I love most is how this castle playground appeals to all ages. The dreamy design and fun features pull in big kids, little kids, and even us grown-ups. This is the type of place your kid won’t feel like leaving, and you’ll likely find yourself returning, simply to see them play, grow, and take on new challenges every time.
Minta Hilltop Fantasy Playground is such a rare find. If you want a place that’s new and enchanting to take the family—this is the place.
