Bicentennial Park Playground

Bicentennial Park Playground

I drove an hour just to bring my little one here, so you know I was serious about playground hunting!

After arriving Bicentennial Park Playground, the first thing that catches your eye is the huge hill slide. It’s a little old, but it’s still so much fun. The playground is spacious with plenty to do, and it’s fully fenced, which makes it much more relaxing for parents. The only thing missing is a water play area — otherwise, it has pretty much everything.

Bicentennial Park Playground reviews

The long slide built into the hill is definitely the highlight. The playground has a great variety of equipment, plus toilets and lots of large shady trees, making it comfortable even on warmer days.

One thing I really liked is that the park isn’t just for kids. There are outdoor fitness stations for adults, so everyone has something to enjoy. Across the road you’ll also find a skate park, basketball court, and even a DJ/music area.

There’s a huge open lawn, so after lunch you can take a relaxing bushwalk around the park. It’s honestly easy to spend an entire day here.

Every fifth weekend of the month, the park hosts The Fifth Market, with handmade goods, fresh bread, fruit, food trucks, face painting, and live music. It makes for such a fun family outing.

If the weather is nice, Chelsea Beach is only a few minutes away, so you can easily squeeze in a second adventure by the water.

It also has a sandpit, BBQ facilities right next to the playground, and plenty of parking. Honestly, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to visit again and again. Definitely save this one!
