We brought the kid to Oatley Park today, close to Hurstville, and honestly, it was great. I would definitely recommend it. The very first time we visited, our kid had just turned two. The day was bright and sunny—a day where in which all photos appear perfect. Today was totally different: cloudy, rainy, a bit quieter, yet genuinely, the park possessed a unique charm.
Oatley Bush Park Playground reviews
Oatley Park is huge. There’s plenty for everyone. You can go hiking, go for a bike ride, enjoy the scenery at the lookout, you can also try fishing in the bay. If you have kids, you’ll really like the spacious timber playground.
The design feels super natural—plenty of wood, including a truck you can climb on. Sure, a few things look a bit worn out, yet there is plenty for children to enjoy, no one ever gets bored.
When you bring children along, simply set your navigation to Oatley Bush Park’s playground. This place offers everything: a 12-metre-tall play tower, very long slide, flying fox, swings, sandpit, shaded picnic tables, and BBQs.
Walk down from the playground and you will see Oatley Castle, built all the way back in 1937.

Walk a little farther and you will discover a small stream and a hiking path—especially nice when the weather is sunny. Making it there’s simple. If you are driving, parking is free. You may also catch the train to Oatley Station, afterwards, it’s roughly a 15-minute walk.
