Patagonia – A Must-Visit Ice Cream Shop in Queenstown

patagonia ice cream queenstown

Many folks are likely familiar with this ice cream shop (Patagonia), which is a popular Queenstown hotspot both locally and internationally, drawing crowds of visitors!

What time does Patagonia chocolates open?

Address: 2 Rees Street, Cnr of the Mall, they open 7 days a week

They primarily offer chocolates, cakes, and ice cream, and there’s almost always a long queue. The ice cream comes in cups and tubs, and as one diner put it, the ice cream cones are incredibly crisp and a must-try!

How much does it cost?

For ice cream in a cup, one scoop is $7, and two scoops are $9. For ice cream in a waffle cone, one scoop is $9, and two are $12. If you want to add chocolate, it’s an extra $2, and adding toppings is an additional $1. They offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors.

They also have exquisite French pastries at $15 each, including lemon tart, lychee tart, coconut (which looks like a real coconut), profiteroles, chocolate cake, and more.

The highlight is their handmade chocolates, ranging from small pieces at $3 each to larger chunks at $6-$7 per 100g. It’s truly a chocolate lover’s paradise, and all of their chocolates are homemade.

Can you find Patagonia else where?

Yes, they have other branches in Queenstown Airport, Arrowtown, and Wanaka.

If you’re visiting Queenstown, this shop is a must-visit! Not to mention, the second-floor view is truly spectacular. Sitting here and enjoying the scenery is an added pleasure!
