Skydiving in Queenstown, New Zealand

Skydiving was the most unforgettable experience we had in New Zealand last year. We had always wanted to skydive in Australia, but since we were in New Zealand, we were sure that skydiving there would be even more spectacular than in our hometown!

The Skydiving Company – Nzone

You can directly book through their official website on Google. After booking, we’ll gather in the city centre at the appointed time, and a bus will take us to the skydiving base. The journey takes 25 minutes. You can also drive to the base yourself, but on the day of the jump, you still need to go to the city centre in the morning to register because the city’s registration office provides instructions for the jump preparations.

If we’ve booked a package on the official website and want to make changes on the day, that’s also possible! For example, if we initially booked for a jump from 12,000 feet and want to change to 15,000 feet, or if we initially booked the hand-cam package where the instructor wears a camera on their head to film you, but we want to upgrade to having a dedicated photographer jump with us to capture wider shots for $280. In short, we just need to pay the price difference! That’s pretty flexible!

Skydiving Photography

We upgraded to have a dedicated photographer jump with us to take photos and videos. This way, we had both close-up and wide-angle shots. Mainly, we thought we might not jump a second time. If we choose the cheapest $179 package, it seems to only include close-up shots because there won’t be a dedicated photographer jumping with us, only our instructor with a camera on their head.

Overall Skydiving Experience

It felt amazing. New Zealand is so beautiful. The skydiving base in September was filled with cherry blossoms. They complemented the snowy mountains in the background. When we jumped, we could see both the mountains and the sea. The photos turned out stunning too! We recommend wearing their uniform for the jump if you choose the skydiving company we did!
