Geelong Winter Glow | Winter Lights Festival

Geelong Winter Glow

Geelong’s Winter Glow is definitely the best destination for winter nights! The entire city is illuminated like a fairy tale world, and the vibrant lights take you into a magical dream where you can feel the festive atmosphere.

The ticket includes various attractions that you can enjoy for free, but some activities such as gingerbread making and dessert making require an additional fee. On average, the queues for each attraction are more than 20 minutes. Finally, remember to purchase tickets in advance on the official website, as they may be sold out if you go without them!

Ice sculpting show and torch performances

Don’t miss the ice sculpting show and torch performances. The ice sculpting show is interactive and they scatter ice shavings on the audience, creating a snow-like experience. They even make snowballs for the kids to play with. There are two torch performances, so make sure to check the schedule and not miss them.

Experience the snow

Your little ones will be extremely excited to play with “snow”. Remember to turn right at the entrance and go to the snow zone first for some snow play. Then, get a ticket for the upcoming session, which allows you to play twice. Each session is only 15 minutes, so it’s quite brief before the next session starts. There is a separate area for children under 5 years old, and next to it is a large area for kids to play. They provide shovels, small buckets, and plastic carrots to build snowmen. The snow is cleaner and fresher when the park first opens!

Food and drink

Grab a cup of hot chocolate and gather around the marshmallow roasting fire. Enjoy the dazzling night view under the lights and listen to the joyful laughter of people. Even in the cold winter, you can feel instantly warm. The food options are fast food but filling, including pizza, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, fish and chips, and more.
