After being closed for over a year, Tofu Shoten is finally reopening. We couldn’t wait and rushed over on the first day! The stock was full of everything we wanted, and we ended up buying more than planned!
The new shop space is beautiful, and parking nearby is convenient. In such a trendy neighbourhood, there should be new delights to discover. We saw a post saying that Tofu Shoten reopened near Brunswick, so we quickly check it out!
We arrived around 11:30, and there were already more than ten people ahead of us in line. So many people were queuing up.
What we ordered
We ordered some mochi, donuts, and cookie sandos to share, everything was delicious! Our favourites were the donuts and the matcha strawberry sando. We also bought some tofu and soy milk to take home. This time, we didn’t get to try the pudding, but will definitely try it next time!
They have amazing best tofu donuts: just a few bites and you can finish one. They are covered in soybean flour or black sesame sugar, and they must be eaten warm though.
The soybean flour and black honey-soaked soy milk kuzu mochi are soft, chewy, and refreshing!
Oboro tofu and silken tofu are also products we’ve repurchased many times.
The glass jarred soy milk is one of our favourites, especially the unsweetened original flavour! There’s also lightly sweetened brown sugar and black sesame, both equally rich and smooth.
