Sydney Nintendo Live 2024 Guide

The crowd here is massive, and the lines are incredibly long! Parents with young kids, make sure to plan your time wisely. For those with tickets, if you haven’t reserved an entry time, there’s no need to arrive too early. Entry is staggered based on reservation times. On Saturday, those without a reservation will likely have to wait until after 12:30 PM to start lining up.

All the staff are incredibly friendly, so don’t hesitate to ask them if you have any questions.

Sydney Nintendo Live 2024 – Things you need to know

We had a 10 AM pass but got in around 10:20 AM. Once inside, we grabbed the event bag, which included a pin, a commemorative coin, and some cool stickers.

We headed straight to the store to get a shopping ticket. By the time we got there, they were already handing out tickets for 11:40 AM, and the line was cut off just two people behind me. If you want to buy something, make sure you go early! The staff will give you a ticket and a list of items available.

In the meantime, we wandered around the booths and exhibits!

When it was time to shop around 11:40 AM, it wasn’t too crowded. You could take your time browsing the store, which had physical displays of all the products, and there was no line at checkout. But if you go late, expect the line to be incredibly long.

Afterward, we went to take a photo with Pikachu. Pikachu comes out every half hour and only stays for about 20 minutes! Other characters have a similar schedule, so if you want a photo, start lining up at least 20 minutes early.

After all the characters returned from their 2 PM break, we headed straight for a photo op with Mario and Luigi, who appear at the half-hour mark!

After taking a photo with Mario, don’t leave! Stay in the same spot for a photo with Princess Peach. They share the same queue area. Once Mario’s session ends, the staff will clear the area for Peach’s line, and she appears on the hour.

Once you’re done with Peach, head over to Kirby’s photo op nearby. Kirby also appears every half hour.

If the lines move quickly, they might let a few more people in for photos. That’s how we managed to get photos with Pikachu and Isabelle.

If you’ve bought items, make sure to leave 2 hours to queue for picking them up. We queued at 4 PM since we did our shopping before 12 PM. There weren’t many unclaimed orders left, so we didn’t have to wait. But everyone else had to wait at least 2-3 hours!
