Great Place to Visit Near the Gold Coast - Tropical Fruit World

We’ve been in Brisbane for so long and only just discovered this amazing place. For a fruit lover, it’s simply paradise! There are so many different kinds of fruits, many of which we’ve never tried before.

It’s about an hour and a half drive from Brisbane, and it’s close to Byron Bay and Danger Point. You can camp nearby, stargaze at night, stay overnight, and watch the sunrise the next day.

You need to book tickets and reserve tour times on the official website in advance. The entire experience takes about 3 hours. You can also check out our other post that talks about some of the best things to do on the Gold Coast.

What we think about the Tropical Fruit World

First, go to the entrance with your ID to exchange for tickets. Then head to the tasting room where professional staff will explain the various seasonal fruits, and you can enjoy a fruit buffet with many different fruits, which lasts about 40 minutes.

Next, hop on a super big tractor to tour the entire orchard. There will be live commentary throughout the ride, and you’ll stop in between to taste bananas and macadamia nuts, eat as much as you want! The bananas are especially delicious and incredibly sweet!

Then you’ll visit a small petting zoo with various animals like lambs, chicks, and horses. You can interact with the animals and feed them.

After that, you’ll take a waterway tour around the island and might even see some adorable little turtles.

There is also a playground, kids absolutely love it with lots of facilities, including a basketball court and a soccer field. You can also enjoy free lemonade here!

Finally, you’ll take the big tractor back to the entrance, where there’s delicious ice cream and a gift shop to browse.

This place is really perfect for a family day trip. Not only can you learn about fruits, but it’s also a fantastic way for kids to burn off energy. A day here is packed and fulfilling.
