Grazeland, the superfood and entertainment night market, is located right next to the Scienceworks Museum, it’s a great place for a family outing on the weekend, where you can eat, play, and explore all in one.
Highlights include stunning views of Williamstown Harbour and the city, unique container-style stalls, a variety of international cuisines, Instagram-worthy dining areas, shops, and live bands. It’s a hotspot you definitely don’t want to miss.
There are three main areas for eating and drinking, along with a dessert street. One visit won’t be enough; you’ll need to come back several times to try everything.
Here are some of the places we’ve checked out so far:
Food
- Little Dumplings: Famous Chinese dumplings in the western suburbs. They have the longest queue, but they serve the fastest. Their xiao long bao and pan-fried dumplings are a hit, especially with kids.
- Flying Noodle: Known for their visually striking flying noodles, the taste is decent, but the noodles make for great photos.
- Calamari: Fresh and not chewy calamari rings that kids love.
- El Ga Cho: Smoky Argentinian barbecue with flavorful beef ribs and delicious chips.
- Africa BBQ: Tasty barbecue, but they’re a bit slow with orders.
Desserts and Drinks:
- Rainbow Fairy Floss: Fun-shaped cotton candy that everyone’s holding. It’s more about the aesthetics than the taste, and it’s a bit pricey, ranging from $8 to $12 depending on the shape.
- Cannoleria: Italian cannoli from the dessert street with crunchy corn and creamy ice-cream-like filling. Absolutely delicious!
- Cheese on a stix: Cheesecake with a layer of chocolate on top. Very sweet; only go for it if you have a serious sweet tooth.
- bbl tea: Basic, don’t expect too much. It’s just for quenching your thirst.
- JuiceLo: Small cups for $5, large cups for $8, but they’re really small, just a couple of sips.
Shops:
- iMiN Kids: Australian kids’ clothing brand with great quality. The knitwear is soft, and the summer collection is mostly made of organic cotton. Everything is 20% off, and their bright yellow storefront is perfect for photos.
- Dried flower shops, earring shops, sunglasses shops: All offer unique and affordable items from small businesses that are worth checking out.

How expensive is Grazeland?
Tickets are $4 (ages 12 and above). You can buy them on the spot; no need for reservations.
Do you have to pay for parking at Grazeland?
There’s street parking available, and there’s also a parking lot at the nearby Scienceworks for $8, which is a bit pricey.
Is Grazeland kid friendly?
There are plenty of arcade games for the kids to play. Parents can find a seat, enjoy some food, listen to live band performances, or watch sports on big screens while waiting for the youngsters to burn off their energy.
Entertainments
Every night features different band performances, and it’s really, really exciting!!! On the day we went, there was a band from 6-9 PM, followed by a DJ who got everyone dancing together from 9-10 PM. By the end, everyone was on the dance floor having a blast. The overall atmosphere is just fantastic and super lively.
Is Grazeland pet friendly?
Yes it is indeed! There were lots of people with their dogs, dancing together, which was really funny.
Is Grazeland worth it?
Some people might think it’s not worth it to pay for entry to the food court. We spent four hours here, eating, strolling around, listening to music, and participating in activities, so personally, we think it’s very much worth it! However, if you’re not interested in this atmosphere, we wouldn’t recommend just coming here specifically for the food, especially since the prices can add up.
