The weather is nice, so we went to Williamstown for lobster rolls! We’ve in fact been to Williamstown several times, and finally, we are having these lobster rolls!
This place (Gem Pier Seafood) is a fish market by the seaside in Williamstown, also a very popular eatery in town. It’s only open for six months a year, and only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays each week! So if you don’t go on weekends, don’t miss out!
Their lobster rolls are the most famous, with abundant lobster meat and an extremely fresh taste, paired with salad dressing and bread, making it the perfect breakfast for every time you drive to the west!
Trying their lobster rolls
The lobster roll is quite delicious. It’s a sandwich with lobster meat and lettuce. It feels like there’s about half a lobster in each roll!
It tastes quite fresh and chewy, and the bread is hard and chewy too. A serving costs $16, and it’s quite filling after finishing the whole thing!
Other thing you should try
Another favourite is the calamari. We like this as much as their lobster roll because it’s freshly fried. When you take the first bite, it’s steaming hot, and the meat is very, very juicy. Squeezing some lemon juice on it gives it a great taste! It’s also $16.
If you want to buy other seafood, you can ask the staff what’s the freshest. We asked, and they said the oysters and mussels were just caught half an hour ago, which happened to be right when we arrived. Just a simple preparation at home and they taste great!
