Crocodile Tour at Crocosaurus Cove

Are you brave enough to come face-to-face with a deathly crocodile? Crocosaurus Cove, the crocodile-themed park in Darwin, Australia, is where you can find the world’s largest Australian reptile exhibition, as well as activities like “swimming with crocodiles,” “crocodile fishing,” and “taking pictures with baby crocodiles.”

Visiting Crocosaurus Cove

This three-story aquarium is located in the centre of Darwin and houses some of the scariest saltwater crocodiles. Not only do crocodiles roam freely in the area, but Darwin is also known for having more monsters than anywhere else in the world! However, the most popular attraction here is the “Cage of Death”.

What is the “Cage of Death”?

The most thrilling of these is the “Cage of Death,” where you are enclosed in a 360-degree transparent cylindrical enclosure, and a keeper tempts a giant six- or seven-meter crocodile to bite the cage while you’re inside. You’ll be able to experience the adrenaline rush of being just four centimetres away from a massive predator, seeing its gaping maw and even the deep recesses of its throat.

This adventure costs $167 AUD per person or $260 AUD for couples and lasts 15 minutes. If you’re too scared to go in the water, you can still feed baby crocodiles and watch your fearless friends enter the Cage of Death from a safe distance.

Death Cage has age restrictions. Children under 15 years old are not allowed to enter and experience it. Those aged 15-17 years old need to be accompanied by adults aged 18 years or older. So, if you want to experience this, remember to bring your ID.

The Cage of Death is only open 12 times a day at 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 15:00, 15:30, 16:00, 16:30, and 17:00.

Where is Crocosaurus Cove?

Crocosaurus Cove is located at 58 Mitchell St Darwin NT 0800, at the intersection of Mitchell Street and Peel Street, southwest of Darwin International Airport.
