The renowned Canadian treasure, Cirque du Soleil, is coming to Melbourne again!
Many of you might have already heard of the famous Cirque du Soleil. As the world’s largest contemporary circus production company, Cirque du Soleil presents an extraordinary visual and auditory feast to its audience! On the occasion of Cirque du Soleil’s 40th anniversary, this year they will bring LUZIA from Mexico back to Melbourne.
Did you know the name “LUZIA” is a combination of the Spanish words for light and rain, it first performed in 2016 and has been viewed by 4.5 million people. It’s the 38th original production by Cirque du Soleil, and for the first time, they’re incorporating rainwater into their performance!
Not only that, LUZIA will also take the audience on a fantastical journey through Mexico, experiencing surreal performances in sunlight and rainwater. The performance scenes include old movies, the ocean, deserts, and ballroom settings, featuring acrobatics, aerial performances, contortionists, and juggling acts!
After Melbourne, Cirque du Soleil will proceed to other cities in Australia: Adelaide in June, Perth in July, Brisbane in September, and Sydney in November. So, if you don’t live in Melbourne, don’t worry you can catch this performance in your city!
Those who’ve seen it say it’s definitely worth experiencing!
