Are you taking advantage of the Active Kids Voucher? The Active Kids Program provides a $100 voucher for parents and carers of school enrolled kids to use towards sport and active recreation costs.
The Active Kids Voucher will be valid until 30 June this year (2023) so you should definitely go get one if you haven’t!
How can you get your Active Kids Voucher?
You can only get it if you meet the eligibility criteria which means you are a parent or care of the student who:
- Is a NSW resident
- Aged between 4 and a half and 18 years old
- Enrolled in school (from Kindergarten to Year 12 including those who are home schooled or enrolled in secondary school education at TAFE NSW)
- Hold a current Medicare card

You can apply for one Active Kids Voucher for each eligible student.
What can you use your active kids voucher for?
Like the other Vouchers such as Creative Kids Vouchers or First Lap Vouchers, you can only use the voucher for registration, participation or membership costs with an approved Active Kids provider.
The easiest way to find an approved Active Kids provider is through the Service NSW website. Once you are on their website, you simply need to enter the suburb and choose a category type such as AFL, Basketball, etc and hit “Search”, it will then show you a list of approved providers near you.
Ready to apply for Active Kids Voucher?
It is very easy to apply for Active Kids Voucher, you just need to follow a few steps listed on Service Australia website and that is it!
- Check the eligibility requirements (as listed on Service NSW website)
- Click the ‘Apply online’ button.
- Log in, or create your MyServiceNSW Account.
- Follow the prompts to apply for the voucher.
Now you have the voucher, how can you use or redeem?
To use the voucher, again first you need to find and choose an eligible provider. Then at registration or payment, you just need to provide information such as your kid’s full name, date of birth and the Active Kids Voucher number through the provider’s preferred process.
Before you sign up with any provider, double check if they are listed on the approved providers list.
