Best Free Supermarket Grocery Apps That Can Save You Money

Grocery App – Coles, Woolworth and Aldi

Someone asked me aren’t I buying this in the supermarket? Why check the apps? As someone who hates walking around supermarkets trying to find things, every time I’m in-store, I use the app to check which aisle the item is in. If I still can’t find it, I just show the app to staff and they can look up the product code and tell me exactly where it is or scan it to check if it’s still in stock.

I actually didn’t use delivery before, I would just open the supermarket app. Add everything I need like dishwashing liquid, hand wash, meat, snacks, bread, milk, yogurt then Click & Collect, Pick a time slot, Then just drive there, park at the Click & Collect spot.

Grocery Shopping List App and Fresh Produce Scanner – PickFresh

Recently we also started using PickFresh. It’s a grocery list + produce scanning app which is very handy. And it’s also Free.

You can turn recipes into a shopping list in one click. It also records when you bought things.
And reminds you when stuff in your fridge is about to expire.

Their scanner is actually my favourite part.
You just scan fruits or veggies.
And it helps you pick the best one, no more guessing.

It also shows you the calories which is a bonus.

You can download the app on the App Store, if you don’t have an iPhone I think you can also use their website as it has the same functions as their App.

Grocery Price Comparison App – Frugl, Half Price, WiseList and Shopfully

So I mainly use the app to check prices, latest discounts and whether something is “available”. Check first, then go.

Coles and Woolworths are the two main supermarkets. Most of the time they’re right next to each other in the same shopping centre so I usually compare both.

That’s why I use WiseList and Frugl.

You just search the item. It shows which supermarket is cheaper straight away. No more switching between two websites.

You can also save items and get notified when they go on sale.

You can even add your rewards cards, just scan your phone at checkout. No need to dig through your wallet.

It also has recipes inside, but I don’t really use it as there isn’t a lot of the recipes like i.e. Asian recipes.

I also use Shopfully too.

We use WiseList to compare Coles and Woolworths (and some ALDI items).
We use Shopfully to check weekly discounts.

Usually discounts start from Wednesday by the way,

Sometimes I literally stand inside ALDI and check WiseList to compare prices!

There’s also this Half Price app. It shows all half-price items across supermarkets
Which store has what and it’s super clear. Saves so much time.
Again no more clicking back and forth between pages.
