This seaside bakery is honestly a bit unreal. The donut coffee made me fall in love in one bite. Kenilworth Bakery has two locations — one in Kenilworth and one on the Sunshine Coast at Bribie Island / Mooloolaba area. Both have such a good vibe.

This is the viral shop where donuts come with coffee inside. At first we were confused why there was no donut coffee on the menu and no photos, so we asked the staff if they could make it and they said yes. So it feels like a hidden item.
The coffee itself is just normal coffee, and the donut has chocolate filling inside. Using a straw at the beginning is easier, but be careful as it can be hot.
The donut is crispy on the outside and soft inside, with rich coffee flavour, plus sugar and coffee powder on top. Slightly bitter with sweetness, not greasy at all. The first bite is amazing, but halfway through it can get quite sweet because of the chocolate filling.
Most people come for the donuts. There are many flavours, and even dog donuts and biscuits. Donuts are $10 for 2, and dogs finish them instantly.
There’s also another side of the shop selling pies and sausage rolls. The beef pie with black pepper sauce is really good and not greasy at all, and sausage rolls are a favourite for kids.
You can also get 1kg donuts for $25, which is great for families!
After finishing, we walked along the beach and explored nearby shops. Sunshine Coast has lots of local surf brands — more unique than Melbourne and usually around $50–100 if you see something you like.
Free 4-hour parking is available nearby (Mooloolaba store).
Originally this place became famous because of the giant 1kg donut, even though the town has less than 200 people. Now it attracts lots of visitors just for this.
Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
