The Auburn Botanic Gardens in Sydney is set to host a Sakura Festival This time is a bit different from previous years, as it will also celebrate Hello Kitty’s 50th birthday!
Highlights
– There will be unique sakura-themed cakes and a wide range of Japanese fusion desserts, plus a sakura bar offering a variety of Japanese-inspired drinks!
– Don’t miss the iconic sakura tree stands and the Mt. Fuji Torii gate for capturing “sakura snapshots”!
– This year, there will also be a special Hello Kitty-themed performance!

Sakura Walk – Stroll through the Japanese garden and enjoy various cherry blossoms, including the most photogenic Sakura Pavilion.
Japanese Food Village – Featuring renowned Sydney eateries like Tokyo Lamington and 15cm, plus over 20 other food stalls offering desserts, snacks, and drinks.
Sakura Bar – Hosted by Bubble Bambino, enjoy Asahi beer, lemon sake, and Prosecco sparkling wine.
Mt. Fuji Torii Gate – Located near the food festival, this is the best spot for iconic sakura photos! At 1pm-1.30pm, take a photo with Hello Kitty at the Mt. Fuji Torii gate!
Hello Kitty Stage Performance – To celebrate the 50th anniversary, there will be two Hello Kitty performances daily! (12am & 2pm)
Exhibits – Various exhibits including manga, origami, bonsai, and Hello Kitty craft activities.
