Jamberoo Action Park

(0) Price:

The park officially opens online at 10 am, but arriving at the parking lot before 10 am, we found it already quite crowded. Despite this, we entered the park before 10 am (around 9:50), and there were already many people inside. So, whether it’s due to early holiday opening or other reasons, the key is to arrive early.

You can bring beach trailers and various tents. Entering the park early allows you to find a shady spot to set up a tent as a base for rest. You can store items in the tent, or if you prefer not to bring these, you can use the Huts marked on the map to store belongings.

Lockers are available on the right side after entering, marked with an ‘L’ on the map. If needed, it’s recommended to queue up early.

Once settled, you can head to the chair lift to take the cable car up the mountain and then ride the Toboggan down. It’s a long slide with amazing scenery and a very popular activity. It’s best to ride it a couple of times early in the day when there are fewer people and before your clothes get wet. In the afternoon, the queues get long, and the progress is slow. Children under 1.4 meters need to ride with an adult.

Some activities prohibit wearing hats, sunglasses, phones, or slippers. We took them off, wrapped them in a towel, and left them at the starting point. It felt safe.

The deposit for mini golf equipment is $2 in cash! Remember, it’s cash! There’s a small window at location 21 where you can collect it. Don’t wait in the food queue; it’s a separate window with signage.

Experience and highlights

The water slide area, Velocity Falls, is the largest and newest of its kind in Australia. The Velocity Falls water slide features winding and twisting slides, offering a truly unique experience.

It includes two major attractions – the Octo Racer with 8 surf racing tracks, each offering a different experience, and The Stinger with 2 slides for a ‘zero gravity’ rapid descent.

There are also the Perfect Storm, Funnel Web, and The Taipan, which are the three flagship water slide attractions at Jamberoo Action Park. Other attractions include the large water castle, Banjo’s Billabong; the Rapid River; The Rock; the Bobsled mountain slide, and the Chairlift aerial cable car.

Tips

Make sure to bring your own packed lunch. While the park has food stalls, the lines are incredibly long, even at the ice cream shop. If you don’t want to waste playtime, bring your own food and water (didn’t find a place for refillable water).

If you plan to take photos, bring a waterproof phone case.

Don’t forget sunscreen; you can reapply midway.

If you wear contact lenses, bring a few spare pairs or wear glasses as some activities may wash away contact lenses.

Ticket information

Buying tickets online in advance saves $10 per ticket compared to purchasing at the window. When buying tickets, there’s no need to select a specific date; they are valid for four months. Simply scan the electronic ticket QR code on your phone for park entry. If you need to exit and re-enter on the same day, just get a stamp.

The ticket includes free parking.
