Tarra-Bulga National Park – A fantastic trip to nature

Tarra-Bulga National Park

You will definitely fall in love with Australia’s Little Bali! Isn’t the tropical rainforest in the picture beautiful? Tarra-Bulga National Park is one of the most beautiful rainforests in Victoria. This is also perhaps the most fascinating place you can find in Australia! Standing on this mysterious land is like walking into a dream world.

Where is Tarra-Bulga National Park?

Address – Grand Ridge Rd, Balook VIC 3971. It is approximately 2 hour’s drive from the city centre.

What to see at Tarra-Bulga National Park?

Admire the elegant Corrigan’s suspension bridge, which spans the forest canopy and offers a dreamy view of the lush ferns in the valley below. Take a walk in the park, surrounded by huge ferns and towering mountain ash trees. The leaves of the ancient Myrtle Beech extend from both sides of the path, forming a green canopy that is finely penetrated by sunlight.

The Suspension Bridge is the most famous attraction here. It’s a 1.2 km walk from the car park and takes about 25 minutes. The bridge spans across the canopy of the rainforest, surrounded by stunning tropical rainforest scenery.

A short 8 km drive from Tarra Bulga, this waterfall is just a 1.2 km walk from the car park. The Tarra Valley Falls may not be huge, but the trail passes by a babbling creek and weaves through the tropical rainforest, giving you a fairy-tale-like experience!

It’s always nice to have a picnic at one of the picnic spots in the park. There are shady places, seats, and barbecue facilities available. You should also spend some time to observe the wildlife, especially the elusive lyrebird – you can hear their melodious calls echoing through the forest!

If you choose to spend the weekend here, you can also explore the nearby world-renowned Ninety Mile Beach, a golden sandy beach that extends to the farthest horizon you can see with your eyes.
