We didn’t expect much from such a small subway station, but how amazing could it be? The most beautiful train station in Sydney has to be Circular Quay, where you can view the Harbour Bridge and Sydney’s most stunning harbour, it’s also a must-visit train station in Sydney!
When we stepped onto the platform:
- Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge immediately appeared right in front of us.
- The busy Sydney Harbour wharf became part of the scenery.
- As the sun sets, gazing out with a loved one is incredibly beautiful!

Address: Circular Quay Subway Station, The best viewing spot is at Platform 2.
Head to the second floor and walk to the far end. There’s a bench on the opposite platform with a better view. You can also watch the frequent comings and goings of the trains and the busy workers rushing up and down, something only tourists seem to have the time to enjoy.
We visited once at sunrise and again at night when the city lights were shining.
This is one of the best sunset spots in Sydney, with breathtaking views of both the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. It’s truly stunning!
Safety Tip: Be careful while taking photos. As beautiful as the scenery is, safety comes first! The platform at Circular Quay station doesn’t have guardrails, so make sure to keep a safe distance while taking photos.
