Melbourne Glamping Metung Hotspring

A friend highly recommended Metung Hot Springs, so we drove 3.5 hours from Melbourne’s eastern suburbs to get there! This place has a few unique features, aside from the hilltop standalone barrel hot springs, their sauna rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, so you can enjoy the lake view while sweating it out. Compared to most dark, claustrophobic saunas, this one is way more comfortable.

The glamping area is right by the lake, and each tent comes with a private deck featuring its own wooden barrel tub for a secluded soak.

The combo of Glamping and private hot spring was super satisfying! We really like the room which is half hardboard and half tent with full electricity and water supply, air conditioning also available. One side of the tent opens to a semi-outdoor wooden hot spring tub and deck.

Staying in glamping also grants free access to all public hot spring pools and saunas in the area! And the best part? There weren’t many guests in the morning or evening! So it’s much quieter and more comfortable than Mornington!

Breakfast was included. For lunch and dinner, our friend said the seafood at the restaurant here is pretty good but we decided to cook our own! The room comes with a welcome bottle of sparkling wine, and during the stay, you can also ask the front desk to make coffee for free.

Overall, it was a great experience!

Tips
